The Citadel Arises!!!

Murwillumbah has some amazingly wonderful old buildings which we are delighted to say are being renovated for the purpose of reviving the heart of Mulrwillumbah and the hearts of all of us who love to sing, dance, listen and participate in musical events of all kinds.

The Citadel used to be the Masonic Hall, making it more intriguing than ever. It is absolutely delightful and has been carefully renovated by its new owners. We were so excited to be able to perform on its generous stage to a small audience, seated in spaced out tables, elegantly lit….

We were again airing our new show Loveys Actually which we had just finished recording…still waiting for the mastering, and final publishing details- a huge task. While recording our songs we had added some beautiful little musical treats which we all loved. For this special show we decided to invite, in person, our saxophonist Emma Lees. What a treat for us and for our audience!

Glitter was the mood for the night and we have been so lucky to have found the Glitter Queen of Kingscliff- Carla Dorge, from her store OnKliff. She has been so supportive of The Loveys, lending clothes and jewellery for many of our shows. We have come a long way from the old op-shop look we started with a few years ago. Who would have thought that we could become fashionistas of song! We so love hearing our audiences gasp at the very sight of us!!!
